Thor's Trail Notes - 12/03/2018

"It's a Great Day to be Alive" ~Travis Tritt

Day 5 No Tractor Snacks

A sunny day with a few high clouds. Trail conditions ok. Snow is Dust on Crust. The Crust just happens to be three inches thick. Enough to make it slick to walk on but the tractors punch right through. The sugar underneath is suboptimal for linking up and achieving good Draw Bar pull.

We had scenery today. Mountains are on our starboard side and growing larger.

Actually, we could see them two days ago but it would be the same as saying you can see the Rocky Mountains from Kansas. Yeah, in the right spot with the right atmospheric conditions we could see them two days ago. Yesterday we could see them all day but not really to the point of being labeled scenic. I'm sure some on the crew will disagree with me. Either way, we'll have a scenic drive for the next week.

500 hr PM on Generator 2 this evening. Kenney changed oil and filters.

Tonight Justin served up a true Minnesotan Hotdish for Supper.

How Minnesotan you ask. People, The man has Flow. If you don't know what I mean by Flow you need to go to youtube and lookup Minneflota. It'll explain everything. This is a picture of Justin serving up his Heart Attack Hotdish. Just check out that Flow. He's even got a good four-day grease going on to top it off.

Heart Attack Hotdish
1 tray of tater tots
2 lbs of bacon, fried
4 chicken breast, grilled
½ block Velveeta
2 cups of cholesterol
And a dash of Love
He included a side of broccoli and string beans. Finishing the meal with Cookies 'n Cream Ice Cream. Kriete will tell you it the "best meal of the trip."

While Justin was preparing his feast Fedders asked "what do you cook a hotdish in?" Justin replied "A dish." Fedders, "what kind of dish?" Justin, "A Hotdish. What is this Questions Monday?" Fedders, "I know it's a hotdish but what kind of dish do you cook it in?
You cook a Casserole in a Casserole dish. Do you cook a Hotdish in a Hotdish dish?" Justin exasperated "What is happening? Are you from Wisconsin!?!" That there is a true Minnesotan.
